He is one of the fore-front proponent of Uniportal (Single-hole) Robotic Lung Surgery for Lung Cancer and other non-cancer lung conditions requiring surgery. He has a variety of experience dealing with chest conditions surgically using key-hole surgery – VATS.
As we all know there are sometimes a situation where giving anaesthesia in itself carries a very high risk, Dr Bhushan has been performing Awake Lung Surgeries and Non-intubated Surgeries where complete anaesthesia could not be given due to patient’s co-morbidities, but such surgeries are at present reserved to a highly selective group of patients.
Surgery for Esophagus Cancer is one of his special focus, when it comes to VATS or Robotic Surgery.
He believes in Multi-Disciplinary Tumor Board, especially when it comes to treating lung cancer and esophagus cancer.
